چکیده

INTRODUCTION: To compare the surgical outcomes of anterior chamber (AC) and posterior (PC) implantation iris claw lens (ICL) combined with penetrating corneal transplantation (P-CT), in eyes no capsular support. METHODS: The records 20 P-CT cases who underwent ICL were retrospectively evaluated. grouped according to location implantation; AC PC ICL. Pre- post-surgical best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), post-operative complications graft rejection rates compared between two groups. Mean follow-up time was 28 (range, 12 76) months. RESULTS: ICLs implanted during surgery 14 (70%) eyes, as a secondary procedure after 6 (30%) eyes. (60%) 8 (40%) preoperative BCVA 0.064 0.001-0.02) group 0.02 0.001-0.1) (p=0.86). postoperative 0.17 0.0001-1.0) 0.14 0.0001-0.4) (p=0.81). Glaucoma developed 5 (41.6%) No eye glaucoma over time. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: Both provide favorable complication CT patients. However, seems increase incidence.

Outcomes of Sutureless Iris-Claw Lens Implantation

Purpose. To evaluate the indications, refraction, and visual and safety outcomes of iris-claw intraocular lens implanted retropupillary with sutureless technique during primary or secondary operation. Methods. Retrospective study of case series. The Haigis formula was used to calculate intraocular lens power. In all cases the wound was closed without suturing. Results. The study comprised 47 ey...

Anterior Chamber Iris Claw Lens for the Treatment of Aphakia in a Patient with Megalocornea

Megalocornea in isolation is a rare congenital enlargement of the cornea greater than 13 mm in diameter. Patients with megalocornea are prone to cataract formation, crystalline lens subluxation, zonular deficiencies and dislocation of the posterior chamber intraocular lens (PCIOL) within the capsular bag. A 55-year-old male with megalocornea in isolation developed subluxation of the capsular ba...
